About

We are a 501C3 non-profit working to get an all-ages, all-abilities bike park built in Salida, Colorado. Currently we’re  working with the city to fund a recycled asphalt pump track, a skills loop (including ladders, skinnies and drops) and a collection of dirt jumps at Centennial Park on Highway 50. The city is willing to pay for a sizable chunk of the build costs, but we need the community to do its part as well. Please donate!

MISSION
Facilitate the creation of an all-ages, all-ability bike park in the town of Salida. Help the city and builder make a place that’s fun to ride for everyone from wee ones on striders to expert jumpers.

AUDIENCE
Small kids, teens, families, adults (big kids), the President and shredding movie stars of all kinds.

FEATURES
Skills area, pump track, wooden features (teeter totter, ladders, skinnies and drops) and a dirt jump line. Soon to come: Signage, fencing (to separate the Skate Park and the Bike Park) and additional landscaping.

FUNDING & BUDGET
Private, community, corporate and city funding, labor and equipment. Current phase I budget is ~ $20,000

LOCATION
Centennial Park by the Salida Hot Springs pool. 410 W Rainbow Blvd, Salida, CO 81201 We chose this site because it is easily accessible by bike and has shade, restrooms, parking and irrigation available for watering jump lines.

Contact

Sacha Halenda is the current administrative contact. The best way to get in touch is via email, but we understand that you might have a pinner grandma who shreds but doesn’t use email. She can always write to us at our post office box. We’re open to any and all suggestions, questions or feedback regarding the bike park, so let us know your thoughts. ride@salidabikepark.org
